Angelina Jolie stops traffic during shopping trip with kids

London, Aug 4 :‘Salt’ star Angelina Jolie is said to have brought traffic to a stop when she went shopping with her kids in Richmond, south-west London recently.

Jolie, 36, her spouse Brad Pitt and their six kids are staying nearby as he films his latest movie, World War Z.

“Angelina was walking along with just a couple of her children and some minders but when people realised who it was, cars stopped in the road, some pulled over and drivers leaned out of the window. It was mayhem,” the Sun quoted a source as saying.

“A bloke in a white van pulled over, got out and chased her down the street and asked for a picture,” the source added.

Angelina Jolie wants to cross the Sahara with family

New York, July 30 : Angelina Jolie is planning her next family adventure, and she has revealed that she wants to "cross the Sahara".

According to the Financial Times, Jolie, 36, who with husband Brad Pitt adopted three kids from overseas, is already planning ahead what she wants to do.

"It takes 28 days . . . it would have to be on a camel," the New York Post quoted her as saying. 

"I wonder if I could do it in pieces and station the kids along the way," she added.

Pitt, Jolie like prisoners of fame: Matt Damon

London, July 20 : Actor Matt Damon feels his high-profile friends Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have become "prisoners" of fame.

"I have friends who are like prisoners. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, for instance. They can't just go someplace," femalefirst.co.uk quoted him as saying.


"I'm really lucky, because I have the best of both worlds. I do the work that I love and need, but don't need paramilitary troops to protect me when I walk out my front door," he said.


Damon credits Luciana, his wife, for keeping him out of the public eye.


"Ever since I found my wife and we had children, my whole life revolves around that. It gave my life a dramatic change in direction.


"I'm not as crazy as most of the other stars. I don't really know why, probably because I married a woman who isn't an actress. And we live in New York. As long as we don't show up in typical tourist spots, we can walk the streets without being noticed," he said.

Angelina Jolie's sons love eating crickets

London, July 18 : Actress Angelina Jolie has been forced to ban bugs from her kitchen after her children developed a liking for it.

Jolie and her partner Brad Pitt often take their six children with them on their global tours and the actress admits her sons have gotten so hooked on eating cooked crickets, which are commonly served in Combodia, they crave for them as if they were potato chips.

"My boys love to eat crickets. It's their favourite thing... When I first gave it to them... I wanted them to not be turned-off by something that wasn't (part of) their culture. So I bought them... and they ate them like Doritos (chips)," contactmusic.com quoted her as saying.

"And they wouldn't stop and they brought to-go boxes home. And then I had to actually ban the cricket-eating at a certain point because I was afraid they were going to get sick from eating too many... But they're good!" she added.

Brad Pitt 'feels rich being around his family'

London, July 08 : Actor Brad Pitt has said that quality time with his family means more than anything else.

The actor is famously the father of six children with Angelina Jolie: Maddox, Zahara, Pax, biological daughter Shiloh and twins - Knox, Vivienne.

“The biggest change for me was being a dad,” the Mirror quoted him as saying.

“I am really proud of this family. They’re brothers and sisters, and they’re fighting, laughing and driving me crazy, and I feel rich being around them. Each one brings so much to the mix,” he added.

While filming demands keep him busy, his charity work takes up even more of his time. Like Jolie, he has learned to make good use of his celebrity status to promote the causes close to his heart, and they have both given millions of pounds towards fighting poverty and hunger in Third World nations.

“What’s valuable to me has become clearer as I’ve got older,” he said.

“To me, it’s about the value of your time and your day, and the value of the people you spend it with. It’s about me being a strong father and guide and a good match for my significant other. Then if I’m going to go to work, it must be something of value to me.

“I’m much more experienced now so I can find films that are interesting quicker and cut out the films that don’t really matter.

“It means more to me now because my kids are going to see them and I want them to be proud of me,” he added.

Melbourne, July 6 : Angelina Jolie and Sarah Jessica Parker have topped the list of Hollywood''s highest paid actresses, earning an estimated 30 million dollars this year, according to Forbes magazine.

Forbes''s blogger Dorothy Pomerantz said Jolie''s success stemmed from her ability to handle action, drama and directing.

Her earnings were boosted by films such as ‘Salt’ and ‘The Tourist’, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

On the other hand, Parker’s big fortune was tied to the success of television and film series ‘Sex and the City’. 

“Parker earns big from reruns of theTV show thanks to her dual role as star and producer, and the second movie, which hit screens in 2010, performed pretty well bringing in a ‘respectable’ US 290 million dollars,” said Pomerantz.

Trailing behind Jolie and Parker is ‘Friends’ star Jennifer Aniston.

Despite her fair share of flop films, she remains a big box-office draw card, estimated to have earned (AUD) 27 million dollars between May 2010 and 2011.

Washington, June 27 : Actress Angelina Jolie has revealed that her partner Brad Pitt loves her so much that it has made her world complete.

The actress said that they feel like they are on a "great adventure" together and she is grateful that they share a great understanding of one another's life.

"We feel like we're sharing this great adventure together and we don't question it. It's like we're partners and we understand the kind of life we want," Contactmusic quoted her as saying telling OK! magazine.

"Our relationship has always felt right and that's what I was looking for. Brad loves me so much - it's made my world feel complete," Jolie said.

Jolie who raises six children with the actor admitted that having a family has changed her "forever". 

"It's peace of mind and security and just releasing all your doubts. Experiencing the adventure and beauty of your own family is something that changes you forever," she said.

"You dedicate yourself to creating a good and happy world for your partner and your children. Brad and I have discovered how wonderful it is to take that journey together," the actress added.

Bollywood is magic, says Ontario Premier

Toronto, June 24 : The song, the dance, the drama, the action withstanding - Bollywood is "magic", said Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty at the inaugural press conference of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend and Awards here Thursday.

"More than the glamour, action, drama, Bollywood is all about magic!" McGuinty, who heads the government of Canada's largest province of which Toronto is capital, told reporters.

"We have the second largest community of Indians living outside Canada. But of course the Canadians should be prepared to be awed and amazed by the magic of Bollywood. Canadians will soon know look at Shah Rukh Khan as Johnny Depp and Priyanka Chopra as the Angelina Jolie of Bollywood," he added.

McGuinty recalled a strange but humourous brush that he had with the frenzy attached with the Hindi film industry n his last visit to Mumbai.

"I came for an event, and the paparazzi went click, click...till one man said...'Sir, you're blocking my view of Celina Jaitley'! I was zapped. I have never been able to recover from that...but that gave me a good sense of how crazy people are for Bollywood," he said.

IIFA is a three-day extravaganza and has brought a flurry of stars including Mallika Sherawat, Anil Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Boman Irani, among others to Toronto. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan will be adding glamour to the event too.

Indian consul general Preeti Saran hopes the event will boost the bilateral relations between the two countries with Bollywood's "midas touch".

Being mom has been a great surprise for Angelina Jolie

London, June 23 : Actress Angelina Jolie says being a mother has been one of the greatest surprises of her life and her maternal feeling deepened after she started adopting children and living with Brad Pitt.

Jolie raises adopted children Maddox, nine,Pax, six, Zahara, five, and biological kids, Shiloh, five, and two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with partner Pitt.

"It's been one of the great surprises of my life. When I was younger I never imagined being a mother and then those maternal feelings really evolved and deepened once I began adopting and started living with Brad, which made me want to have children of our own," femalefirst.co.uk quoted the 36-year-old as saying.

"I feel truly at ease when I know I've helped give them a safe and hopeful life. A big family can generate a lot of chaos, but it's also a source of inner peace - the best feeling in the world. I'm much less anxious about life and so much more light-hearted and carefree," she added.

Brad Pitt takes Angelina Jolie to same restaurant he dined with Jennifer Aniston in 2003

London, June 22 : It has emerged that Brad Pitt took his partner Angelina Jolie to the same romantic restaurant in Malta where he had dined with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston eight years ago.

Pitt, 47, took Jolie, 36, to the same De Mondion restaurant at the Xara Palace Hotel where he had taken Aniston in 2003.

According to Us Magazine, at the time, the then-married couple even sat at a similar table, where they took in the views and held each other''s hands.

Much like Jolie, who is accompanying Pitt along with their six children whilst he films ‘World War Z’, Aniston, 42, was also visiting the actor when he was working on ‘Troy’. 

A note from the former couple also still existed in the restaurant guest book saying: “Thanks for the great escape. Much love, Brad Pitt andJennifer Aniston.”
For Brangelina''s date, the couple is said to have entered the restaurant around 7pm in the evening, settling into their outdoor table. 

“They were very, very romantic...Like a couple in love,” the Daily Mail quoted a source as teling Us Weekly. 

An insider said the couple indulged, tucking into a seafood-based tasting menu and ‘ate everything on their plate’. 

The pair also enjoyed about ''five glasses of wine each'', leading to the couple appearing ‘a little tipsy’ when they departed the restaurant at around 10pm.

As reported, Brangelina and the brood have relocated to Malta while he films his new post-apocalyptic horror movie.
